Clamp circumcision

This procedure uses a special clamp to remove the foreskin.

Laser circumcision

This procedure uses a laser to remove the foreskin.

Mogen circumcision

This procedure uses a special clamp to remove the foreskin.

Circumcision and Diabetes

  • Circumcision can prevent or treat phimosis, which is a condition where the foreskin is too tight and cannot be retracted. Phimosis can cause pain, inflammation, infection, and difficulty with urination and sexual activity

  • Circumcision can reduce the risk of balanitis, which is an infection of the glans (head) of the penis and the foreskin. Balanitis is more common in diabetics because high blood sugar levels can create a favorable environment for fungal growth

  • Circumcision can improve hygiene and reduce the accumulation of smegma, which is a white, cheesy substance that can cause irritation and odor. Smegma can also harbor bacteria and fungi that can cause infections

  • Circumcision can lower the risk of urinary tract infections, which can be more serious and complicated in diabetics. Urinary tract infections can also worsen blood sugar control and increase the risk of kidney damage

About Phimosis

Phimosis, or a tight foreskin, is common in babies and young boys, but can also occur in adults. If experiencing discomfort or swelling, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
Checking for a tight foreskin: The foreskin is the protective layer of skin that covers the end of the penis. If it is difficult to pull back from the end of the penis, it may be a sign of a tight foreskin. While it is normal for babies and young boys to have a tight foreskin, it can also occur in older individuals. Most boys’ foreskins do not fully retract until the age of 5, and in some cases, not until they are 10 or older. Symptoms such as bulging or ballooning during urination, discomfort or swelling may indicate a problem.

Symptoms of a tight foreskin may include:

  • Swelling and tenderness in the affected area

  • Pain or difficulty during urination, including a weak flow of urine

  • Presence of blood in urine

  • Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • Signs of infection such as bleeding, a thick discharge or an unpleasant smell from under the foreskin

  • Painful erections which can make sexual intercourse difficult

Phimosis

This is a condition in which the foreskin is too tight to be pulled back over the head of the penis. This can cause pain and difficulty urinating, and may lead to infection.

Paraphimosis

This is a condition in which the foreskin becomes trapped behind the head of the penis, cutting off circulation. It can be a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment.

Balanitis

This is an inflammation of the head of the penis. It can be caused by irritation or infection, and may be more common in uncircumcised men.

UTIs

Circumcision has been linked to a reduced risk of urinary tract infections in infant males.

STIs

Circumcision may also reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, HPV, and syphilis.
